R COMME RENE - PARIS-CALVI BIG BAND

Brought together by Jean-Loup Longnon in a vibrant tribute to René Caumer, staunch defender of Jazz and the Arts, a Big Band composed of bright young musicians and a select group of renowned soloists surged on to the stage at the CALVI JAZZ FESTIVAL and recorded – live! The new interpretations of Count Basie and Thad Jones themes are breathtaking. As well as a ”hats off” to a great man, these masterpieces of jazz form a tribute to Corsica itself, a cradle of music and dreams.
